Chilakaluripet Bypass Private Limited (CBPL) entered into a Concession Agreement dated August 2nd, 2019, with the National Highways Authority of India (the “Authority”). The CBPL project was awarded to BSCPL Infrastructure Limited (BSCPL) by the National Highways Authority of India on March 8th, 2019, for a construction period of 2 years along with an Operation & Maintenance period of 15 years from the Appointed Date, i.e., June 28th, 2021, on a Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM). The project has successfully achieved its COD on October 29th, 2024.
The Government of India had entrusted to the Authority the development, maintenance and management of National Highway No. 16, including the section from Km 357.400 to Km 371.920 (approximately 16.384 km). The Chilakaluripet Bypass project involved the greenfield six-lane bypass of NH-16 (Old NH-05) in Andhra Pradesh on design, build, operate and transfer (the ‘DBOT Annuity or Hybrid Annuity) basis.
